We are a 200- acre campus located in Bhauri, Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh, central India. The Institute is committed to environmental and climate stewardship. To the end, several on-campus activities are geared to meet the goal of achieving a sustainable and climate resilient future.
IISER Bhopal has used appropriate solutions to build a green campus that uses best practices in energy conservation in its buildings, has commenced generating renewable power on campus, re-uses wastewater, and recycles most of its waste. Beyond the physical infrastructure, we have built teaching and research programmes that are cognizant of the needs of our time. In addition to developing knowledge tools, we also aspire to build affordable technological solutions that help manage, mitigate, and adapt to climate change, not only for our campus but for the country and the global community, at large.
