The Ministry of Health and family welfare introduced a noble initiative on providing MR vaccination (Measles & Rubella) for children in the age group of 9 month to 15 years. Measles and Rubella are highly contagious diseases, and there is no specific treatment for these diseases but vaccines could indeed prevent it. It is important for children to take vaccine both in routine and immunisation campaign.
In this regard, Prayaas, worked towards making this initiative available for the kids of construction workers from within IISER and 2 of our neighbouring Institutes, NIFT and NIREH, Bhopal. 40 kids were vaccinated for M&R under this program.
